Leaf Speak (Sung to: "Clementine")
Leaves are falling; leaves are falling
From the trees down to the ground.
Some are orange and some are yellow.
Some are even red and brown!
They are swishing; they are crackling
When I go out for a walk.
They are saying, “It is autumn!”
In their leafy kind of talk!
In the Fall
I can be…
As tall as an oak tree (Stretch arms high above head)
As tiny as an acorn, (drop to the floor and curl up in a ball)
As round as a pumpkin. (hold arms in front to form a circle)
I can..
Flop like a scarecrow, (flop arms and head like a scarecrow in the wind)
Twirl like a falling leaf, (hold arms out to sides and twirl)
Scamper like a squirrel. (hold hands in front like paws and run with small steps)
Up on the Treetop (Sung to: "Up on the Housetop”)
Up on the treetop
Watch the leaves.
They are changing.
You can see.
Red and orange,
Yellow and brown.
Pretty soon they’ll all fall down!
Crunch, Crunch, Crunch!
Walk through the leaves.
Crunch, crunch, crunch!
Walk through the leaves.
Up on the treetop
In the fall,
Leaves are changing.
Watch them all!
Autumn (Sung to: "Old MacDonald Had a Farm")
Autumn time has come at last. Yes, oh yes, it has!
And while it’s here we’ll have blast!
Yes, oh yes, we will!
With a pumpkin here and a scarecrow there,
Watching leaves drifting in the air.
autumn time has come at last. Yes, oh yes, it has!
Hurry, Scurry!
Swuirrels, squirrels, bushy and gray,
Please find the acorns right away!
Winter is comeing and it will snow.
Find the acorns- go, go, go!
Leafy Color Match (sung to: "The Hokey Pokey")
You hold your ___ leaf up,
You hold your ___ leaf down,
You hold your ___ leaf up,
And you wave it all around,
You take it for a walk and for
Red things all around.
Then tell me what you've found!
(red, green, brown, yellow, orange)
Leaves are Falling (sung to: "Farmer in the Dell")
The leaves are falling down.
The leaves are falling down
Heigh-Ho! It's fall, I know.
The leaves are falling down.
The leaves are turning _____.
The leaves are turning _____.
Heigh-ho! It's fall, I know.
The leaves are turning _____.
(brown, red, orange, yellow)
Leaves On The Move (Sung to: "The Wheels on the Bus")
The leaves in the air go up and down,
up and down, up and down.
The leaves in the air go up and down,
All around the town.
(twirl round and round, go whooshing by, fall gently down)
Green Acorn, Brown Acorn
I'm a little acorn-look at me!
I live high in an old oak tree.
My face is green but will soon be brown
When leaves start to flutter to the ground.
